Lillooet Farmers’ Market

Agriculture & Food Production-Arts-Food & Beverage

The Farmers’ Market provides a venue for people to shop from local growers, farmers, gardeners, bakers, artisans, crafters, non-profit organizations and other small or home-based businesses. Located downtown on Main Street across from the Post Office, the Market’s central location allows for convenient access for the public to come and enjoy all the variety of vendors.

The Farmers’ Market is a social scene where people mingle and enjoy perusing the stalls. Visitors to the market will find bedding plants, cut flowers, fresh produce, home baking, jams, jellies, pickles, hand-crafted jewellery, quilted and sewn items, antiques and collectibles, farm fresh eggs, organic chicken, natural beef and much more. The weekly, seasonal Lillooet Farmers’ Market is volunteer-powered and community oriented. Drop by the Lillooet Farmers Market and meet the many makers, bakers, farmers, crafters and more.

The Lillooet Farmers' Market is run by the Lillooet Farmers' Market Association's volunteer Board of Directors. The Board consists of five volunteer Directors, Melody Thacker, Nancy Shook, Aubyn Banwell, Christoph Miles and Daniel Kerslake. The Market is a non-profit organization that supports the operation and success of the seasonal weekly market.

Melody has been with the Lillooet Farmers' Market for over 20 years. She loves the community of Lillooet, the scenery and the fresh air. She enjoys shopping and visiting at the market, which is quite a social event. "One of the things I really like about the Market is that it is supporting those small, micro, hobby businesses," said Melody, "it gives those people an outlet to sell their wares and it adds more variety to the community."

Melody recommends people drop in to the next Lillooet Farmers' Market and see the wide variety of items available. She also recommends you go by Miyazaki House, a heritage house located across the street from the Market and in behind the Post Office.
